Linn M. Bø, nominated as Young Professional of the Year at ERP Today Awards

Linn M. Bø has been shortlisted for the Young Professional of the Year award that will be presented in September at the ERP Today Awards.

This award will choose an outstanding person at the beginning of their career in the enterprise technology ecosystem. All the nominees have shown high performance and high potential as well as a strong desire to forge a purposeful career in the industry.

Linn M. Bo’s career at Arribatec has been meteoric. She started with us in August 2020 as a Project Manager and worked very hard to be named Director of Cloud ERP earlier this year. We sat down with her to get a better understanding of what it means to have been nominated and how other youngsters can make an impact in this industry.

What does it mean to have been nominated for Young Professional of the Year award?
I’m really excited to be nominated for the Young Professional of the Year award. It’s a great acknowledgement of the work I’ve put into my ERP career, and I’m genuinely grateful for the recognition. There are very strong contenders there, so fingers crossed for the big day!

What inspired you to pursue a career in ERP?
In Norway we have this thing called student loans, so I needed a job and fell into the ERP world by coincidence. But hey, I am still here, so it worked out well.

What are some of the challenges you have faced as a young professional in the ERP industry?
Mainly navigating the jungle of system functionality, endless possibilities and complexity that comes with many ERP systems.

How do you stay up to date on the latest trends in ERP technology?
I don’t 😅 but it does help to work with more than one ERP system and being involved in sales processes.

What advice would you give to other young professionals who are interested in a career in ERP?
Go for it! There is undeniable room for a larger number of young professionals and even more so girls!

What are your goals for the future of your career in ERP?
Make Rambase ERP in Arribatec a smashing success while continuing to build the best team in ERP!

The awards will be held at the prestigious Ascot Racecourse in the United Kingdom on 14th September at a whole-day fundraising event organised by ERP Today in favour of the NHS.
