Unit4 ERP Research, Costing & Pricing (RCP) is a solution developed especially for colleges and universities to calculate accurate cost estimates and price calculations for applications for research grants.
The RCP has been developed by Oxford University in collaboration with the University of Cambridge and some of our consultants, with universities and not-for-profit institutions in mind. The solutions are nevertheless beneficial for any company that receives support applications.
Cost & budgeting for institutions ^
When undertaking cost research for an institution, there are several things to consider before proving whether the funder should fund 100% of the costs of the institution;
personnel, non-personnel, student, and property costs, and indirect and fixed costs. We deliver RCP solutions that take all these costs into account and deliver transparency, control and increased efficiency with significantt cost and time savings.
The RCP follows the principles of the FEC and conforms to the TRAC methodology, used throughout higher education to help institutions calculate the costs of activities and determine application grants.

RCP web service consumption ^
Looking to import resource and salary data that requires no modification for RCP use? Want to import Funder information? Or perhaps it’s both; RCP can handle it.
Using a combination of two Business World APIs delivered out of the box, XML-based data can be consumed and configured for RCP use. Typically using middleware (e.g. BizTalk), it is possible to configure output from your financial or HR system and import directly to RCP.

Comprehensive Training for Unit4 RCP ^

Our objective in this task is to fully equip your Superuser with all the required skills to create an excellent System Administrator for the RCP module.
