Arribatec reaffirm support for local Leicester grass-roots football

After a successful partnership for the 2024/25 season, Arribatec is proud to announce the continued sponsorship of Leicester United’s youth football team.

Growing the game with those who need it most

Forming with the name of the history team that folded in 1996, Leicester United exists to give the joy of football to those who would otherwise face barriers to their participation. This ethos, one of participation and joy over all else, that is why we are so proud to announce that we have sponsored Leicester United’s U13 team, to help give as many children as possible the opportunity to fall in love with football.

We are thrilled to have Arribatec continue as our sponsor”, said Neil Lawrence, Leicester United U13 coach. “Our grassroots football team is built on the ethos of giving every child the opportunity to enjoy the game, build confidence, and develop both on and off the pitch. For us, it’s all about creating a positive environment where the kids can grow, make friends, and feel part of something special.”

For many, the chance to take part in organised football sessions is beyond their reach, either due to financial pressures or the belief that they’re not good enough. Leicester United was reborn in 2023 with one simple aim: to remove as many barriers as possible between children and the enjoyment of football.

An end of season special

On Saturday the 7th of June, the team hosted their end of year awards and recognition event, and Arribatec were thrilled to be asked along and to help hand out the awards.

Roopal Shah, UK Finance Manager, and Lisa-Maria Ellis, UK Officer administrator, were in fine spirits as they helped support a team that plays such a strong role in a community they love.

“It was lovely to see how our sponsorship is helping these children and giving them a chance to have fun on a saturday”, said Roopal, an avid Leicester City fan. “We need more teams like this to give kids a chance to play.”

Lisa, who’s son won Parents Player of the Season, was brimming with pride. “A team like this, with the support of the staff and coaches, really makes you proud. I’m so happy that we’re able to keep supporting Leicester United.”

The U13s came third in their league this season, their highest finish yet, and have their eyes set even higher up the table for the 25/26 season.
