The breakdown in cross-border financial management in PSOs isn’t caused by complexity itself; it’s caused by trying to manage that complexity without the right tools.

Arribatec joins Housing21 to launch new Unit4 ERP transformation

On Thursday 23 October, Arribatec were delighted to attend the official launch of Housing 21’s new Unit4 Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)project at the Park Regis Hotel, Birmingham. The event marked the beginning of an exciting collaboration to transform Housing 21’s financial and operational systems through the power of Unit4 technology.

The launch represented the culmination of months of careful planning, preparation, and collaboration between Housing 21, Unit4, and Arribatec. It also signalled the start of the next phase — a comprehensive implementation designed to streamline processes, enhance visibility, and create a robust digital foundation for Housing 21’s continued growth.

With representatives from all three organisations in attendance, the event provided a valuable opportunity to introduce the project’s scope, timelines, and key milestones. More importantly, it brought together the teams who will be working side by side to deliver a successful transition.

“The recent launch event for our new finance system was a fantastic start to the project,” said Shawnee Blackmore, IT Senior Project Manager at Housing 21. “It was great to see such strong attendance and enthusiasm from teams across our organisation. We’re really excited to be working with Arribatec on our new Unit4 system and can’t wait to dive into the discovery workshops over the coming months.

For Arribatec, the project is an opportunity to apply deep Unit4 expertise and proven implementation experience to help Housing 21 realise its vision for a more connected, data-driven organisation. The partnership reflects the shared commitment from both organisations  to innovation and to delivering systems that empower people to work smarter.

As the project moves into the discovery and design stages, Arribatec will work closely with Housing 21’s teams to ensure the new ERP platform is tailored to their needs — supporting finance, People Services, procurement and beyond with modern, flexible technology.

“This launch event was a fantastic celebration of collaboration and intent,” said Steve Haines, Global Sales Director at Arribatec Business Services. “Housing 21’s enthusiasm and engagement from day one sets the tone for what we know will be a highly successful project. We’re proud to be their trusted partner in this important transformation.”

The atmosphere at the Park Regis was one of optimism and partnership — a fitting start to a journey that promises to modernise systems, simplify processes, and support Housing 21’s mission to provide quality housing and care for older people across England.

As discovery workshops begin and the implementation takes shape, Arribatec look forward to building on the strong foundations laid at the launch — and to delivering a solution that will serve Housing 21 well into the future.
